SAND & GOLD
The sand was here before the cityscape, before the buildings, the tunnels, the bridges, the streets, and the streetlights. It was here before cars, trains, or airplanes. The sand will be here tomorrow, when my children are old, and when their children are older. I will be part of the sand when I’m gone. I will be the sand, with those who came before me and those who are yet to join us. You will see us all around you. We are the flickers of gold that bring this desert to life.
